Methodology of teaching practical geography has continued to be an issue of great concern amongst Geographers, due to wrong perceptions of the subject area as difficult. Consequently, the author explored some fundamental studies in practical Geography, to assist geographers and scholars alike to simplify some of these practical geographical concepts. The book covers a wide variety of practical geography concepts and sample of lesson and unit plans to guide students in the following topical issues: geography instruction, E-learning of geographical concepts, types of maps, errors of presenting topographic maps, geography curriculum, some weather instruments for measurement in geography teaching and their uses, introduction to unit and lesson plans in geography education, developing, valuing and decision making skills in practical geography.
